October 21, 2011 is now the new day the world will end. They sell everything they have, buy posters declaring the end of the world to display, and run around telling everyone to follow their leader. This is not unusual. Every single time is has failed. Here’s a list of dozens of failed end of the world predictions over the centuries, click here. Failed Doomsday Prophecies.

The reality is that the Bible says no man will know the day the world ends, Jesus comes back, or whatever your particular view of eschatology might be: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.”But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.” – Matthew 25: 35-36

Harold Camping said, “We’ve always said May 21 was the day, but we didn’t understand altogether the spiritual meaning,” he said. “The fact is there is only one kind of people who will ascend into heaven … if God has saved them they’re going to be caught up.”

It’s not the first time the 89-year-old retired civil engineer has been dismissed by the Christian mainstream and has been forced to explain when his prediction didn’t come to pass. Camping also prophesied the Apocalypse would come in 1994, but said later that didn’t happen then because of a mathematical error.

Let’s try this Biblical approach to life that has been the key to Christian living for two thousand years – live faithfully and be true to what you believe today because you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Love God, love your neighbor as yourself, and take care of the poor and marginalized. You don’t know if or when the end will come, so live every day as if it were your last.

You now have an extra five months to prepare for the end of the world according to Harold Camping. A tireless advocate for fatherless children, Davis has spent most of his adult life calling U.S. believers to become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to the 143 million orphans living around the world. Through those connections, thousands of orphans now have the bright and hopeful future--one that is filled with opportunities and the love of the one true Father. Davis speaks hundreds of times each year at churches and conferences, mobilizing the church to action on behalf of the poor. He is the author of four books. His most recent novel, SCARED is a fictionalized account of his first-hand experiencing living and working with orphans in Swaziland, Africa. Davis' blog is the premier resource for the latest developments in Christian orphan ministry. Davis also currently teaches courses as adjunct professor at George Fox University in Newberg, OR. When not traveling the globe, Davis resides in the mountains of Colorado in the small community of Palmer Lake. He and his wife Emily have seven children, including two adopted daughters from Russia.
["GET
