One of the questions asked to HH was: &#8220;Will<br \/>\nTibet&#8217;s future be changed by the election of Barack Obama?&#8221; \u00a0That<br \/>\nquestion has been unfortunately answered with a resounding &#8211; no! \u00a0In fact,<br \/>\nAmerica&#8217;s\u00a0commitment\u00a0to Tibet may be worse than under President Bush. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/1009\/27942.html\"><span style=\"color:#551A8D\">Politico.com<\/span><\/a>\u00a0reported that President<br \/>\nObama snubbed HH Dalia Lama this week during the Dalai Lama&#8217;s visit to<br \/>\nWashington DC. \u00a0The only thing that can account for it is that this White<br \/>\nHouse is so afraid of the Chinese and the debt the hold that they are now able<br \/>\nto dictate American foreign policy:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"webkit-indent-blockquote\"><p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\">When it comes to the White House&#8217;s decision not to have President<br \/>\nBarack Obama meet with the Dalai Lama during his visit to Washington this week,<br \/>\nsome are seeing an $800 billion elephant in the room.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"webkit-indent-blockquote\"><p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\"><br \/><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\">That, of course, is the amount of U.S. Treasury debt held by the<br \/>\nChinese government. That makes China the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt,<br \/>\nand the country&#8217;s willingness to buy more is essential to the ability of the<br \/>\nUnited States to finance its deficit spending.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"webkit-indent-blockquote\"><p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\"><br \/><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\">And naturally, the Chinese do not want the new American president to<br \/>\nmeet with &#8212; and lend credibility to &#8212; the Dalai Lama, who is a longtime<br \/>\nadversary of the Chinese government.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\">This week will mark the first time since 1991 that the Dalai Lama has<br \/>\ncome to Washington and not met with the U.S. president.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\">That leads one former Federal Reserve official to suspect that<br \/>\nChinese fiscal leverage over the American government is at the root of the<br \/>\ndecision. &#8220;Bottom line,&#8221; says the official, &#8220;don&#8217;t piss off your<br \/>\nbanker.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"webkit-indent-blockquote\"><p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\"><br \/><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';font-size: 19px\">Rep.
