Kelley has a B.A. in Religion with honors from Haverford College and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School with a focus on Christianity and Culture. Kelley serves on the Board of Directors of the Providence Hospital Foundation and was a founding Board member of Language, Education and Technology Center, an adult literacy\/ESL program at Our Lady Queen of the Americas parish in Washington, DC. Kelley served as a delegate to the 2007 Vatican's Second World Congress of Ecclesial Organizations Working for Justice and Peace in Rome.
