His works are filled with joy, sorrow, hope and yes, anger.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font color=\"#000000\"><font size=\"3\">David was keenly aware of injustices inflicted against others and himself and had no hesitation asking God to remedy the situation.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font color=\"#000000\"><font size=\"3\">Consider Psalm 64 (NLB): <\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><b><sup><font size=\"2\">1<\/font><\/sup><\/b><font size=\"3\"> <\/font><b><font size=\"3\">O God, listen to my complaint.<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Protect my life from my enemies&#8217; threats.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">2<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> Hide me from the plots of this evil mob,<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;from this gang of wrongdoers&#8230;<br \/><\/font><\/b><font size=\"3\">Here, David appeals to God to side with him against the unjust. He asks for tangible protection, knowing that God too feels the fire of anger against what is evil. <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\">Next, David spells out specifics injustices he&#8217;s observed and personally suffered. He pulls no punches. Woven between his words&nbsp;flows a subtext of indignation. <span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b><sup><span><font size=\"2\">3<\/font><\/span><\/sup><\/b><span><font size=\"3\"> <\/font><b><font size=\"3\">They sharpen their tongues like swords<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and aim their bitter words like arrows.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">4<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> They shoot from ambush at the innocent,<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;attacking suddenly and fearlessly.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">5<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> They encourage each other to do evil<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and plan how to set their traps in secret.<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8220;Who will ever notice?&#8221; they ask.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">6<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> As they plot their crimes, they say,<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8220;We have devised the perfect plan!&#8221;<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Yes, the human heart and mind are cunning. <\/font><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b><span><font size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\">David then pushes past anger and fear to declare what he knows about God and about God&#8217;s justice. <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b><span><font size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">7<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> But God himself will shoot them with his arrows,<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;suddenly striking them down.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">8<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> Their own tongues will ruin them,<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.<\/font><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\"><\/font><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\">He concludes with a confession of faith &#8211; what is not yet reality &#8211; acknowledging how&nbsp;his case will end: God and the Godly will prevail. <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><font size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><b><sup><font size=\"2\">9<\/font><\/sup><\/b><font size=\"3\"> <\/font><b><font size=\"3\">Then everyone will be afraid;<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;they will proclaim the mighty acts of God<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and realize all the amazing things he does.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/font><sup><span><font size=\"2\">10<\/font><\/span><\/sup><font size=\"3\"> The godly will rejoice in the L<span>ord<\/span><br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and find shelter in him.<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And those who do what is right<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;will praise him.<\/font><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><\/span><span><font size=\"3\">Pray angry!
