Because of the\u00a0Lord<\/span>\u2019s great love\u00a0we are not consumed,<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>for his compassions never fail.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nThey are new every morning;<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22,23).<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A Plain and Simple Prayer…<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus,<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I woke up today and remembered that You are still on the throne. You are very much\u00a0alive, still risen and victorious over death. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The angels and elders haven\u2019t ceased their praise. Nothing has changed\u2013You are still Lord of all.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/i>I woke this morning and discovered that You still love me. You still care; You\u2019re ready to carry my burden today. You are poised to lift me higher than my circumstances, for You are bigger and greater and higher than any mountain I face. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

So, Jesus, lift me above the struggle I’m facing today as I fix my eyes on these Truths, as I worship You around the throne, as I sit myself with You, ruling and reigning\u00a0in life with You.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I woke this morning and remembered that the devil is still a defeated foe, though energized by sin and hate. He cannot ultimately win because You have already won every victory on my behalf.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I woke this morning and Your promises beckoned me. They did not expire overnight. They are still available; they still stand true, never to become invalid. Not one promise has lost an ounce of relevance for me. Not one of Your precious promises is out of my reach. If I stay true to my commitment to love and worship and obey You (please grant Your grace and mercy), I will enjoy the blessings of every one of Your promises.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I woke this morning to say still\u2026<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

You are good!<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

And Your love endures forever.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

So with Your enduring love, I will endure everything that comes my way with a song of praise on my lips and gratitude in my heart to the One who made me, the One who loves me.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Amen<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are \u201cYes\u201d in Christ. And so through him the \u201cAmen\u201d is spoken by us to the glory of God (2 Corinthians 1:20).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;<\/em><\/strong>
\n in the morning I lay my requests before you<\/em><\/strong>
\n and wait expectantly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

…I, by your great love,<\/em><\/strong>
\n can come into your house;<\/em><\/strong>
\nin reverence I bow down<\/em><\/strong>
\n toward your holy temple.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness<\/em><\/strong>
\n because of my enemies\u2014<\/em><\/strong>
\n make your way straight before me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

…Let all who take refuge in you be glad;<\/em><\/strong>
\n let them ever sing for joy.<\/em><\/strong>
\nSpread your protection over them,<\/em><\/strong>
\n that those who love your name may rejoice in you.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;<\/em><\/strong>
\n you surround them with your favor as with a shield. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
