The first is written for a female friend. If your friend is male, scroll below…

Father,

You love ____ dearly. You know the plans you have for her, plans to prosper her and not to harm her, to give her hope and a future (Jer. 29:11). This is your will! We know that all things work together for her good (Rom. 8:28), though all things in themselves may not be good. Cancer is not your will for her! Rebellious cells in her body are not your design or plan. Yes, we live in a broken world, but you are working to fix what veers from your purposes. We join you in resisting and fighting this disruption in our friend’s life! We thank you that you have already accomplished everything necessary for her complete healing. On the cross you became cursed, despised, rejected, sorrowful, and familiar with suffering as you took into and upon yourself all the brokenness of the world, including this disease. Now, by your own wounds she has been healed (Is. 53:3). When you submitted to death and rose from death to life you defeated the enemy. And if the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is living in ______, then the Spirit now gives life to her mortal body (Rom. 8:11). We believe this and ask now that your healing would be expressed realtime in ______. Let this word be made flesh in her (John 1:14). When you were here on earth, Jesus you taught us to enforce your authority over nature. You commanded us to leverage your Name and command creation to be restored according to your original design (Luke 10). We take up this assignment now for ______. We command her cells to obey the Word and will of the Lord! We command her immune system to rise and fight cells that do not belong. We curse the distorted mutations of your wondrous design. We cut off, by our faith, words, and Jesus’ authority, the capacity for cancer cells in _____’s body to spread. We say, “Praise the Lord, ______! May all that is in you praise His name.” And because it is impossible for rebellious cells to praise the Lord, they must be evicted now, and be replaced by good cells that can honor God! This is the mountain you instruct us to move by our words and faith. We don’t ask you to move it; we tell it to move in your Name (Mark 11:23) because your words in our mouths are as your words in your mouth. And now we thank you ahead of the evidence for your promised and completed victory. We have asked and believed that we have (past tense) received this answer (Mark 11:24). This is already done! Along the way, grant _____ peace and joy. This seems impossible, but grace is there for her. Give her certainty now of your determined outcome! Give doctors wisdom to work with you (whether they acknowledge that or not). Give _____ wisdom to know what adjustments to make in her daily life. And taken together, your work with all human cooperation, let this healing come here and now! We pray this in Jesus’ wonderful Name, because all your great promises are already “Yes!” in Jesus. And so in response we simply say,

“Amen!
