Let them make peace with me.<\/strong><\/em>
\nYes, let them make peace with me. (Isaiah 27:5)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

He [Jesus] lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. (Hebrews 7:25)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

If you are longing for someone to make peace with God, you are not alone. God is right there with you.<\/p>\n

Jesus prayed over Jerusalem a few days before they sentenced Him to death:<\/p>\n

\u201cO Jerusalem, Jerusalem\u2026 How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn\u2019t let me\u201d (Matthew 23:37).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Jesus didn\u2019t call on angels to enforce His desire to gather the people of Jerusalem to His heart. He left them to their own free wills, to embrace or reject Him. They chose the latter.<\/p>\n

Jesus is at the right hand of God, presenting Himself to the Father as the acceptable\u00a0exchange for our sins, making it possible for anyone\u2013everyone\u2013to enter into fellowship with God for eternity. But people are stubborn. We prefer our own way of doing things, so we reject His offer of abundant life and set out to forge our own ways. We weren\u2019t made to navigate life on our own.\u00a0We need Jesus to light the way.<\/p>\n

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. (Proverbs 14:12)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

If you are praying for someone to make peace with God, to find their way, remember that God is with you. Pray this plain and simple prayer…<\/p>\n

Father,<\/em><\/p>\n

I thank You for Your promise that if we pray anything according to Your will, You will do it. You have prayed the prayer I am about to pray, so how could it be anything but Your perfect will?<\/em><\/p>\n

I place my loved ones before Your throne today, and I ask You in Jesus name to lead them down paths that will create in them a desire to make peace with You. May they turn from things in their lives that are leading them into darkness and dead ends, and may they lift their heads to see the light of Your glorious face smiling down on them.<\/em><\/p>\n

Remind them that You\u2019re not mad at them. Send people into their lives that will speak this truth: The Truth of the Good News that You are love and that Your love is the greatest force in the universe.<\/em><\/p>\n

I trust in you to work to accomplish this, and my faith will not grow weak as I wait patiently for the fulfillment of all your promises concerning my loved ones.<\/em><\/p>\n
