The most powerful of all prayers are those written for us directly from Scripture. Today we will pray a Psalm for the United States upon the celebration of our 241st Anniversary. This is a prayer for revival; let\u2019s make it our hearts\u2019 cry!<\/p>\n

Psalm 80<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Begin with thanks and praise….<\/em><\/p>\n

Please listen, O Shepherd of Israel,<\/em><\/strong>
\n you who lead [us] like a flock.<\/em><\/strong>
\nGod, enthroned above the cherubim,<\/em><\/strong>
\n display your radiant glory\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ask to see His hand at work\u00a0in our country…<\/em>
\nShow us your mighty power.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Come to rescue us!<\/em><\/strong>
\nTurn us again to yourself, O God.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Make your face shine down upon us.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Only then will we be saved.<\/em><\/strong>
\nO Lord God of Heaven\u2019s Armies,<\/em><\/strong>
\n how long will you be angry with our prayers?<\/em><\/strong>
\nYou have fed us with sorrow<\/em><\/strong>
\n and made us drink tears by the bucketful.<\/em><\/strong>
\nYou have made us the scorn of neighboring nations.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Our enemies treat us as a joke.<\/em><\/strong>
\nTurn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven\u2019s Armies.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Make your face shine down upon us.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Only then will we be saved.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Acknowledge His kindness and provision….<\/em>
\nOur shade covered the mountains;<\/em><\/strong>
\n our branches covered the mighty cedars.<\/em><\/strong>
\nWe spread our branches west to the\u2026Sea;<\/em><\/strong>
\n our shoots spread east\u2026<\/em><\/strong>
\nBut now, why have you broken down our walls<\/em><\/strong>
\n so that all who pass by may steal our fruit?<\/em><\/strong>
\nCome back, we beg you, O God of Heaven\u2019s Armies.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Look down from heaven and see our plight.<\/em><\/strong>
\nTake care of this grapevine<\/em><\/strong>
\n that you yourself have planted,<\/em><\/strong>
\n this son you have raised for yourself.<\/em><\/strong>
\nStrengthen the man you love,<\/em><\/strong>
\n the son of your choice.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Repentance and Change…<\/em><\/p>\n

Commit yourself to the Lord…<\/em><\/strong>
\nThen we will never abandon you again.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Revive us so we can call on your name once more.<\/em><\/strong>
\nTurn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven\u2019s Armies.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Make your face shine down upon us.<\/em><\/strong>
\n Only then will we be saved.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
