Today we will pray for our children directly from Paul\u2019s letter in Philippians 1:3-11 NLT. We have emboldened the Scripture below.<\/p>\n
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Thank you, Father, for my child. Thank you for how you have wired him\/her. Thank you for the gifts and talents you have bestowed.<\/p>\n Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n It gives me joy to bring this child to your throne, Lord. And I believe in faith that this child will join me in spreading the love of God everywhere.<\/p>\n And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n How grateful I am, God, that you are not finished with us yet. And that you will complete the work you have begun in my child \u2013 the work of transforming him\/her into your beautiful image.<\/p>\n So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God\u2026 in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News. God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n May my child feel the love, compassion, and commitment I have towards him\/her. May we both experience your grace in new measures.<\/p>\n I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ\u2019s return.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n May he\/she know your great love and may that great love overflow and manifest in his\/her love for people.<\/p>\n May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation\u2014the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ \u2014for this will bring much glory and praise to God.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n I pray, Father, that my child will bring you praise and glory in the way that he\/she conducts\u00a0his\/her\u00a0life in righteous behavior, decisions, commitment, conversation, and deeds of love.<\/p>\n In Jesus Name!
