People don\u2019t realize\u00a0<\/i><\/span>that I am watching them.\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Their sinful deeds are all around them,<\/i><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and I see them all. (Hosea 7:2)<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

You say, “I am rich. I have everything I want. I don\u2019t need a thing!” And you don\u2019t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. (Revelation 3:17)<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

As much as we strive towards self-awareness, it can so easily evade us. We simply don\u2019t know what we don\u2019t know. I can\u2019t watch the back of my head while looking forward. Try as I might, I have no idea of all that\u2019s lurking behind me, even with a rear-view camera. In truth, all we see of ourselves and of the world around us is through a small knot hole. God sees it all. He knows the real me. He sees me through and through. The facades I live behind don\u2019t fool Him. Yet, am I brave enough to ask Him to show me His perspective of my life and character? <\/span><\/p>\n

Father,<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I have often thought that I am just fine. \u201cYes, I have sinned like everybody else, but I\u2019m not as bad as some people.\u201d Please forgive me of this wanton justification and pride. Open my eyes to the Real Me. And if the news is very shocking, then I know you will be there to help me, change me, forgive me, and cleanse me. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

O Lord, you have examined my heart<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>and know everything about me\u2026<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Search me, O God, and know my heart;<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>test me and know my anxious thoughts.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Point out anything in me that offends you,<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>and lead me along the path of everlasting life. (Psalm 139:1,23,24)<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
