Friday is National Boss Day 2009, a time for employees to thank their bosses for the job they do. It’s also a time to acknowledge the daily pressures managers have to endure. Patricia Bays Haroski launched this tradition in 1958 to honor of her boss. In today’s economy organizational leaders have to make difficult decisions. Let’s join Haroski’s cause and say “Thanks” to the men and women a few rungs up on the ladder! And recognizing their sacrifice, let’s offer a prayer on their behalf. <\/font><\/p>\n

“God, you are the ultimate “Boss.” You carry authority and yet also delegate it to men and women who have shown themselves trustworthy. We pray today for those who carry loads of responsibility that make it possible for all of us to carry out our responsibilities. We pray that they will have health and wisdom, opportunity, creativity, insight and courage. We pray that their families. We ask that any stress they bear would be dissipated by your hand. Let them know, ultimately that you are the One in true control. Teach them to speak to you and to trust that you are truly responsible. Bless bosses! We pray this in Jesus…” <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
