Love pays attention to the right things. It notices and awards good intentions. But when it comes to offenses, it has a healthy case of Attention Deficit. True love doesn’t look for ways to be offended \u2013 on the contrary, it has a habit of quickly dropping the subject. Love is also as forgetful as senility when it comes to being wronged. It doesn’t hang on to offenses, but forgets\u00a0them as fast as you can wink and say, “Bob’s Your Uncle.”<\/p>\n

Nothing hinders a healthy intimacy in marriage like anger and contempt. Let’s avoid them like the plague.<\/p>\n

My Father,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Your Word teaches me to put away anger and to avoid being touchy and easily offended. Please forgive me. I have not exhibited your character to my mate, and I want to change. Please transform me from the inside out. Create in me a clean heart and a right spirit, willing to follow your ways. I know that your path leads to a richer and more joyful life, so I am willing to lay down my flesh and pick up your Word, following it to the end.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
