\nBecause we dreamed too little,<\/em>
\nWhen we arrived safely<\/em>
\nBecause we sailed too close to the shore.<\/em><\/p>\n

Disturb us, Lord, when<\/em>
\nWith the abundance of things we possess<\/em>
\nWe have lost our thirst<\/em>
\nFor the waters of life;<\/em>
\nHaving fallen in love with life,<\/em>
\nWe have ceased to dream of eternity<\/em>
\nAnd in our efforts to build a new earth,<\/em>
\nWe have allowed our vision<\/em>
\nOf the new Heaven to dim.<\/em><\/p>\n

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,<\/em>
\nTo venture on wilder seas<\/em>
\nWhere storms will show Your mastery;<\/em>
\nWhere losing sight of land,<\/em>
