As they prepare, plow, and plant their fields let&#8217;s lift them up, crying out to God on behalf of their land and the work of their hands. Our lives depend on their livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Lord of Creation,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>&#8220;You take care of the earth and water it,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>making it rich and fertile.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>The River of God has plenty of water;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>You drench the plowed ground with rain,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>melting the clods and leveling the ridges.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>you crown the year with a bountiful harvest;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>and the hillsides blossom with joy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>and the valleys are carpeted with grain.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>They all shout and sing for joy!&#8221; (Psalm 65:9-13 NLT)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And we do as well, as we say AMEN!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/prayerplainandsimple\/files\/import\/assets_c\/2009\/09\/hands_praying-thumb-240x240-7813.jpg\"><img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-768\" alt=\"hands_praying-thumb-240x240-7813.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Psalm 65 outlines a brilliant prayer for our farmer friends around the world, on whom we depend at least three times a day for food.
