\nhorse, the best strategy is to dismount.”\u00a0 However, in government, in
\ncorporate America, more advanced strategies are often employed, such as:<\/p>\n

1. Buying a stronger whip.<\/p>\n

2. Changing riders.<\/p>\n

3. Appointing a committee to study the horse.<\/p>\n

4. Arranging to visit other countries to see how other cultures ride
\nhorses.<\/p>\n

5. Lowering the standards so that dead horses can be more productive.<\/p>\n

6. Reclassifying the dead horse as “living-impaired.” (I like this one.)<\/p>\n

7. Hiring outside contractors to lift the dead horse and move its legs.<\/p>\n

8. Harnessing several dead horses together to increase speed.<\/p>\n

9. Providing additional funding and\/or training to increase dead horse’s
\nperformance.<\/p>\n

10. Doing a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the
\ndead
\nhorse’s performance.<\/p>\n

11. Declaring that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less
\ncostly, carries lower overhead, and therefore, contributes substantially
\nmore to
\nthe bottom line of the economy than do some other horses.<\/p>\n

12. Rewriting the expected performance requirements for all horses.<\/p>\n

13. Promoting the dead horse to a supervisory position.<\/p>\n
