Think about what <i>fun<\/i><br \/>\nmeans to you, such as playing cards or sports, watching movies, going to the<br \/>\npark, or hanging out at an art gallery. It doesn&#8217;t matter what it is or if<br \/>\nothers find it entertaining&#8211;you need to enjoy it. Find something you can lose<br \/>\nyourself in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:150%\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%\"><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 22px;font-size: 15px\"><span>I<\/span><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 22px;font-size: 15px\">t&#8217;s important not to always pick<br \/>\nactivities that have ulterior motives, such as career advancement or personal<br \/>\ngrowth. Remember that plain old fun is critical to your well-being! Another<br \/>\ncommon motive is escape, but what you do for pleasure should be engaging, not<br \/>\nnumbing. When you take time for yourself, you should feel even more fulfilled<br \/>\nand in touch with your essence&#8211;not hollow and disconnected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:150%\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%\">An ideal form of recreation for people<br \/>\nwith Inspiration Deficit Disorder is to be more creative and get involved in<br \/>\nsomething artistic. Sports are also ideal, but they can get too competitive and<br \/>\nfeed your Persona. If you want to choose a sport to feed your essence, that&#8217;s<br \/>\nfine, but try playing so that there isn&#8217;t a winner or one single &#8220;right way&#8221; to<br \/>\nscore. The bottom line is to promote peace and lots of laughter. You might also<br \/>\ntry shifting your attitude about a sport you already know and love. Work to<br \/>\nexperience it for the joy and pleasure, not from a place of striving to be<br \/>\nperfect. Other ideas include taking a class in cooking or watercolor painting;<br \/>\ngardening; taking walks in nature; going fishing; learning to play chess or<br \/>\nbridge; playing on a team; joining a book club; or taking up a new craft, such<br \/>\nas knitting, woodworking, or scrapbooking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height:150%\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%\">The key word is <i>fun,<\/i> not indulgent.
