This Today Show interview with Charlie Sheen is seriously must-watch stuff – that is, if you’re interested in seeing a real-time, last-inning disintegration of a C-level celebrity. One time he was one of the new breed rat pack – in my opinion a group of overrated, spoiled Hollywood kids – but today he is a frighteningly disturbed, 2 million dollar\/episode addict who has decided to (finally) career self-destruct in one last pathetic gasp – I wonder what his kids will think in years to come after watching this interview?<\/p>\n

Seriously – this appears to be a true madman on display – in my view, a wild-eyed, megalomaniacal show biz monster hell-bent on scorching the earth for hundreds of miles around… Are there not many up-and-coming actors and actresses that deserve a shot in the business? What do you have to do for this industry to summarily reject you – forever? This is grim stuff – pathetic self-absorption on an almost unfathomable level. Where are the industry professionals calling for a “Charlie Sheen boycott”? Why has this allowed to drag on as long as it has? For those who say – “He makes them money” – I do not believe someone of this level can’t be replaced by someone better. When the sideshow becomes the star – it’s over – everyone loses. <\/div>\n
