And who doesn’t? Personally, I snatch ’em up at the drug store for next to nuthin’ this week, open the wrapper and let them get nice and stale and snappy. Aged to perfection, I enjoy them slowly, like a fine single-malt. <\/p>\n

So how could I not post about the Washington Post’s Third Annual “Peeps Show,” which features a contest of the best peeps-inspired dioramas. Check out the story here<\/a> and above all the gallery with the top 40 entries, ranging from “Peeptanamo Bay” to “The Peeps of Wrath” to “Mary Peepins” and much, much more.<\/p>\n

The overall winner was a brilliant Edward Hopper tribute, “NightPeeps,” by Melissa Harvey, shown below. <\/p>\n

Not enough religiously-themed entries, I think. A Peeps Passover, but meh. Too sensitive a topic for the Peeps treatment? No way. I’m starting on my Peep Benedict XVI diorama for next year right now. if I don’t eat them all…<\/p>\n
