\u201cWill they or won\u2019t they,\u201d that\u2019s been the question for the last year regarding if former cast members of the original Star Wars<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n

trilogy would have a role, if any, in the new, Star Wars: Episode VII<\/i>. After much hand-wringing, Lucasfilm (now owned by Disney) has announced that yes, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford ad Carrie Fisher will reprise their roles of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leah. Joining in on the fun will be Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO).<\/p>\n

Star Wars: Episode VII<\/i> is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams and though no storylines have been spilled, there is a rumor going around that Han Solo will be featured prominently. We\u2019ll just have to wait and see. In the latest press release, Abrams said, “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII<\/i>. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”<\/p>\n

Filling out the rest of the roles, as well as the main storyline, will be John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.<\/p>\n

As with the other six films, John Williams will return to score the music. It wouldn\u2019t be the same without him, would it?<\/p>\n

Lucasfilm also announced that most if not all of the Star Wars-related storylines from the various TV shows, books and comic books that came about after the Episode Six film will not be included.
