Jones, the former \u201chalf-man\u201d in the CBS sitcom, <em>Two and a Half Men<\/em>, has re-emerged publicly since leaving the show. Sporting a beard that the <em>Duck Dynasty<\/em> men would approve of, the 20-year-old sat down for an interview with Houston\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.khou.com\/entertainment\/Former-Two-and-a-Half-Men-star-opens-up-about-leaving-show-his-faith-250523731.html\" target=\"_blank\">KHOU TV<\/a>. For those who have never watched it, <em>Two and a Half Men<\/em> originally starred Charlie Sheen as a happy playboy bachelor who reluctantly opens his home to his brother (Jon Cryer) and his son Jake (Jones). After fallout with creator Chuck Lorre in 2011, Sheen was fired\/quit the show and Ashton Kutcher replaced him. Then, in 2012, Jones was seen in a YouTube video where he pleaded with people to not watch the show as he described it as \u201cfilth\u201d and \u201cvery inappropriate.\u201d He later apologized and continued playing the role until Lorre was able to write the character out of the show.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_335\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-335\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/359\/2014\/03\/tw0-men.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-335\" alt=\"A younger Angus T. Jones with co-star Charlie Sheen. <em>(Photo: CBS)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jones had been exploring his Christian faith and no longer was \u201cokay\u201d with playing the role on the hit show. \u201cIt was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people,\u201d said Jones in Sunday\u2019s interview. \u201cI was a paid hypocrite because I wasn\u2019t OK with it and I was still doing it.\u201d He admits that he could he could have handled the situation better than insulting Lorre in the process. \u201cThat\u2019s his like baby and I just totally insulted his baby and to that degree I am apologetic but otherwise I don\u2019t regret saying what I said.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Today, Jones is a college man attending school in Colorado and a few weekends at World Harvest Outreach Church in Houston, a Seventh Day Adventist Church. \u201cI really want to come into the light because I know that is where the healing is and I\u2019ve seen God do amazing things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, not everyone is on Jones side. Within hours of airing the interview, the KHOU <a href=\"http:\/\/www.khou.com\/entertainment\/Former-Two-and-a-Half-Men-star-opens-up-about-leaving-show-his-faith-250523731.html\">website<\/a> (as well as many others) became littered with bitter remarks from readers who think Jones should return or give away the millions of dollars he earned while acting on the show.
