\"Hollywood<\/a>In what seemed like sort of a gamble for NBC last summer has paid off for the peacock channel. Hollywood Game Night<\/i><\/a>, now in its\u2019 second season, brings back the classic celebrity game show in a whole new format. Hosted by Jane Lynch, Hollywood Game Night<\/i> takes place in her imaginary living room complete with a live band. Teams of four sit across from each other on couches. One member of each team is considered a \u201ccivilian\u201d (your every-day average Joe) while the other three are made up of Hollywood stars. Each team works together in a variety of short party games, similar to what you can do in your own home.<\/p>\n

NBC has just announced that a home version of the Hollywood Game Night<\/i> has actually begun to hit Walmart store shelves today as well as the NBC online store<\/a>. Later, distribution of the game will be enlarged to other retailers as well. Cardinal Industries, a leading game developer, has created a card game based on the hit show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hollywood Game Night Party Game is a great way to bring the fun of the show right into your own home,\u201d said Kerry O\u2019Donnell, director of global licensing, NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group. \u201cThe pop culture trivia and fast-paced format of the games will provide outrageous fun and lasting memories for our fans. We are really proud to be working with Cardinal on this project as the show continues into its second season.\u201d<\/p>\n

The game includes five different card games, dual purpose coasters, a timer, a dry erase score chart and a marker to keep score. Players will learn how well they know pop culture, who can \u201cdoo\u201d a song the best and which team can conquer the Celebrity Name Game Challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Hollywood Game Night\u2019 is tailor-made for home entertainment,\u201d said Joel Berger, President, Cardinal Industries. \u201cIts unique, teamwork-based format provides the perfect kicker for any party, event or simple family evening at home.\u201d<\/p>\n
