Did you know that Normal Barbie a.k.a. Cellulite Barbie a.k.a. Lammily has arrived? Over the years, Mattel, the maker of Barbie, has received truckloads of criticism about her unrealistic body type.<\/p>\n

You know, her perky breasts, petite waist, perfectly rounded hips and her disproportionately large head. In fact, it has been said that if Barbie were real, she\u2019s be walking on all fours and it would be physically impossibly for her to lift her over-sized head.<\/p>\n

So, artist and designer Nicolay Lamm, decided to answer the call for a more \u201cnormal\u201d Barbie and created Lammily, a doll with the realistic body proportions of a 19 year old girl and\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026she comes complete with as \u201cflaws.\u201d Tattoos, warts, acne, stretch-marks, scars, cellulite, etc. These normal imperfections are supposed to teach children that they not only do not have to aspire to unrealistic body images but that imperfections are \u201cnormal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lamm says that he\u2019s just trying to create a product that shows that reality, while not necessarily perfect, is perfectly beautiful, loveable and awesome!<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t quite sorted through what I think and how I feel about Lammily and her sticker pack of plastic imperfections. Although, I\u2019d like to point out that if they were going for teen imperfections, they forgot unruly hair, braces\u00a0 and features that said preteen and teen hasn’t quite grown into.<\/p>\n
