Call me.&#8221; ~ Janice Taylor, Anti-Gravity Coach, Positarian, Artist, Author<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Now that Memorial Day Weekend has come and gone and the official start of the beach season has kicked into gear, I thought it time to share my favorite summertime recipe for happiness.\u00a0 These 9 tips can help you to levitate through life, smiling every ounce of the weigh!<\/p>\n<p><b><i>1.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/i><\/b><b><i>Walking Meditation. Tune Into Yourself.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/i><\/b><i>A walking meditation is your basic slow, run-of-the-mill walk, <b>with awareness<\/b><\/i><i>.\u00a0 It invigorates the tired soul!!\u00a0\u00a0 <b><\/b><\/i>Stay mindful of your step \u2013 your rhythm, the sound. \u00a0If your mind wanders (and it invariably will), gently bring your attention back to your walking.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <b><i>Turn the Air-Conditioner Off at Meal Times<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0 During the summer months, our bodies naturally crave more liquids than food.\u00a0 By turning off your air-conditioner at mealtime, you will eat less, conserve energy and lower your electric bill!\u00a0 It\u2019s a win, win, win!<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <b><i>Keep a Summer Weight Loss Scrapbook<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0 In addition to tracking your food (statistics show that those who do, lose faster), you can add quotes, recipes, and fun summertime photos.\u00a0 Stay focused on the positive, get your \u2018upward spiral\u2019 in motion!\u00a0\u00a0 And at the end of the summer, you will have an amazing memento of the best summer ever!<\/p>\n<p><b><i>4.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/i><\/b><b><i>Shoot for Last.<\/i><\/b><b>\u00a0 <\/b>There seem to be more \u2018dining out\u2019 challenges during the warm months.\u00a0 A good way to eat less is to wait until everyone else is served before you start eating.\u00a0 And then, chew s-l-o-w-l-y, making sure that you are the last to finish!\u00a0 Make it a part of your summertime strategy and you will eat less and lose more, for sure!<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <b><i>Focus on What Your Body Can DO! <\/i><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Instead of zeroing in on your self-perceived flaws, how about engaging in some fun physical activities, such as golf, tennis, badminton or even croquet, so that you can begin to appreciate what your body can do!<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <b><i>Get Dirty \u2026 and Stress Less.\u00a0 <\/i><\/b>To improve your stress level, plant a small garden, cultivate a flower box, or if space is really limited, plant a few flowerpots &#8212; indoors or out.\u00a0 Just putting your hands in soil is &#8220;grounding.&#8221; And when life feels like you&#8217;re moving so fast your feet are barely touching the stuff, being mentally grounded can help relieve physical and mental stress.<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <b><i>\u00a0Be Good to Your Eyes.<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 To protect your vision at work and at play, wear protective eye wear. When outdoors, wear sunglasses that block at least 99% of ultraviolet A and B rays.
