Who doesn&#8217;t?! from Janice Taylor, Life &amp; Wellness Coach, Weight Loss Expert, Positarian<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><strong>Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. ~ Carl Bard<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em><strong><\/strong><strong>Dearest Tushkateers,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Happy September!\u00a0 Happy back to school.\u00a0 Happy autumn leaves, Happy new beginnings!\u00a0 Happy happy!!!<\/p>\n<p>Last night <a href=\"http:\/\/www.OurLadyofWeightLoss.com\" target=\"_blank\">Our Lady of Weight Loss<\/a> and I were listening to music.\u00a0 Random music.\u00a0 First, JayZ\u2019s <em>Empire State of Mind<\/em>; then Robin Thick\u2019s <em>Blurred Lines<\/em>, followed by Nina Simone\u2019s <em><strong>It\u2019s a New Day<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<em> (Man-O-Man, music can be so healing, powerful, endorphin producing, but that\u2019s another KICK.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It\u2019s a new day, a new dawn, it\u2019s a new life for me\u2026a new life for me\u2026and this old world is a new world and a bold world for me\u2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OfJRX-8SXOs\" target=\"_blank\">Nina Simone\/It&#8217;s a New Day<\/a>.\u00a0 Ohhh, sing it Nina!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The lyrics got me to thinking.\u00a0<em> (Can you smell the wood burning?) <\/em>Thinking that September represents new beginnings.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.OurLadyofWeightLoss.com\" target=\"_blank\">Our Lady of Weight Loss<\/a> agreed and said, &#8220;Oh Janny, you are right! Good thinking!! It is\u00a0 the perfect time to review, revamp and reset our goals!\u201d\u00a0 <em>(I so love it when OLofWL tells me that I am right!!!)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Anyway, in her infinite wisdom, OLofWL dictated these 10 Guidelines to Setting Autumn Goals for me to share with you!\u00a0 So&#8211;here goes!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>10 Tips: How to Set Autumn Goals<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>How Excited and Inspired Are You, Really?<\/strong> Are the goals you set your own, or are they coming from the \u2018should\u2019s\u2019 \u2013 \u2018musts\u2019 and \u2018have to\u2019s\u2019 that other people have laid upon you? If you are not excited, forgetaboutit.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Did You Bite Off More than You Can Chew?<\/strong> <em>(Pardon the pun.)<\/em> Be realistic for goodness sake. You can\u2019t start off with 300 pound weights. Try a 3 pounder first! Small changes create big results.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Help!!!<\/strong> No woman is an island unto herself. We all need people in our lives that can help and lend support. Make a list of the people in your life who you can trust and can help you!\u00a0 And then\u2026Ask for help.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Did You Write it Down?<\/strong> No! Well you gotta! Putting your goals on paper both alerts your brain that you are \u201copen for business,\u201d as well as sending a strong and positive message to the universe, declaring that you are, indeed, \u201cin the game!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>What\u2019s Your Plan?!<\/strong>\u00a0 Huh? You don\u2019t have one! Writing down your goals is important, but a plan is what keeps you on track.<\/p>\n<p>6. <strong>What\u2019s Your First Action Step?<\/strong> Like hola, Tushkateers! Writing it down and making a detailed plan are important steps, and then you must take action.<\/p>\n<p>7. <strong>Don\u2019t Let Life Get in the Way.<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>(Or weigh you down.)<\/em> It\u2019s easy to let life take over. Going to work, getting the laundry done, going to your kids\u2019 soccer games, etc. etc. We barely have time to breathe! I get it!!! Therefore, you must schedule your goals. Whatever it is that you need to do to manifest, put it on your calendar. Even grocery shopping for fruits &amp; veggies.<\/p>\n<p>8. <strong>Go Towards the Positive vs. Pushing Away from Negative.<\/strong>\u00a0 Instead of focusing on the negative habit you want to let go of, look toward your happy, compelling future. For instance, if you want to quit smoking, focus on what a healthy life looks like. Remember, we manifest what we focus on.<\/p>\n<p>9. <strong>Drowning in Drama.<\/strong> At some point, doubt and fear will surface. When your \u2018evil twin\u2019 speaks to you, rather than believe that voice and get sucked into the drama, you need to move back into action, immediately. It takes a strong \u2018want power\u2019 muscle to do it, but I know that you have it in you!<\/p>\n<p>10. <strong>Failure is Feedback.<\/strong> Brace yourself, Tushkateers. You will fail here and there, because failure is a part of the process. When things aren\u2019t going your way; when your action plan isn\u2019t working, it\u2019s time to review and revamp! Failure is merely feedback. Tweak it and move on.
