Martin<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you are faced with a situation or event that is too uncomfortable or upsetting to accept, just plain deny it.You can either deny it in its entirety.\u00a0 \u201cWhat problem? There\u2019s no problem here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>-or-<\/p>\n<p>You can admit that the problem exists, but say with conviction, \u201cIt\u2019s not as bad as it looks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 Avoid It.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>A day can really slip by when you&#8217;re deliberately avoiding what you&#8217;re supposed to do.\u201d ~ Bill Watterson<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>You can avoid your problem by steering clear of it, dodging it or sidestepping it, but know this:\u00a0 the inevitable showdown is lurking in the dark shadows of your sidesteps.\u00a0 The energy that you are using to avoid the problem is more than likely far greater than the energy needed to simply handle it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0 Resist It.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;Resistance creates suffering.\u00a0 Stress happens when your mind resists what is&#8230;.The only problem in your life is your mind&#8217;s resistance to life as it unfolds. \u201d~ Dan Millman<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fight it down, push it back; simply put, do not feel the unpleasant emotions that accompany your problem.\u00a0 You can attempt to wrestle your feelings out of existence.\u00a0 A fruitless endeavor, by the way.\u00a0 At some point, the emotions will rise and bite you in the tush!<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0 Blame It.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThe search for a scapegoat is the easiest of all hunting expeditions.\u201d ~ Dwight D. Eisenhower<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>For goodness sake, the problem isn\u2019t your fault, is it?\u00a0 Pass it on; blame someone else or blame the circumstances.
