Cornyn<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><strong><em>Bonjour, Good Day, Shalom and What&#8217;s up TUSHKATEERS!!!!<\/em>\u00a0 <\/strong>How goes it?\u00a0 What&#8217;s happening in your neck of the woods?\u00a0 All groovy here!\u00a0 More or less.\u00a0 Depending on your definition of groovy, and your slant\/ability\/determination to go with the flow, as unexpected happenings happen.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\">For instance, you go to a reputable place for a brow wax, a place you&#8217;ve been to many times, and let&#8217;s just say that they go too far!\u00a0 Do you freak out?\u00a0 Do you hit the ice cream emporium on the way home?\u00a0 Or maybe head straight to the fridge for a full tilt when you arrive home?\u00a0 Do you try to soothe yourself using maladaptive ways that ultimate sabotage every inch of the weigh?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\">NO!!!\u00a0 No, you make sure you have bangs to cover the damage and you stop at the local cosmetic place and ask for a make-over, buying their most expensive brow pencils.\u00a0 Maybe you freak out for a minute or two &#8211; maybe even 10, but then you put a lid on it &#8211; and you don&#8217;t sabotage your entire day, week, month or life.\u00a0 You steer clear of the Super-Highway to SABOTAGE!\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\">Which brings me to an email I received from Tushkateer Joyce R. which just happens to be about SABOTAGE!!! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"color: #b22222;\"><em><strong>CHEWING THE FAT<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><em><strong>Dear OLofWL ~ <\/strong><\/em>I don&#8217;t quite understand it.\u00a0 I wake up in the morning and say to myself, &#8220;Yay!\u00a0 It&#8217;s a brand new day!\u00a0 A new start!\u00a0 It is full of possibilities and opportunities, and full of fruits, veggies, whole foods and portion control.&#8221;\u00a0 My breakfast is a good one, my lunch, too, but somewhere in the day, something happens.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not quite sure what, but I switch tracks and I&#8217;m off and running, sabotaging my morning success, sabotaging the ultimate goal I&#8217;ve set for myself.\u00a0 Goal:\u00a0 Eat healthy. Let go of the excess weight.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"color: #b22222;\"><em><strong>Why do I keep sabotaging myself?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0 How can I STOP SABOTAGING myself?\u00a0 HELP! Please &#8230; <em><strong>~ Joyce R. <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><em><strong>Dear Joyce R. ~ <\/strong><\/em>Needless to say <em>(but I&#8217;ll say it anyway)<\/em>, there is so much I could say in answer to your email &#8211; too much for these pages, so let&#8217;s narrow it down to a mini-discussion on sabotage that may shed LITE on the topic!\u00a0 Okay? Okay!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><em><span style=\"color: #b22222;\"><strong>What is Sabotage?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><strong>Sabotage<\/strong> is an <strong>intentional act of destruction<\/strong>.\u00a0 Someone <strong>messes up<\/strong> something <strong>on purpose<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>Self-Sabotage<\/strong> is something you do to yourself when you <strong>feel you don&#8217;t deserve good things to happen to you<\/strong>; when you <strong>feel defeated<\/strong>.\u00a0 OR &#8211; when you revert to <strong>bad habits that work against you<\/strong>.\u00a0 You could get help for these self-sabotaging things that you do to yourself but you may not even know that you are self-sabotaging yourself!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\">Sabotage kills confidence which sets the downward spiral into motion.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\">Let&#8217;s return to the brow incident.\u00a0 Suppose the &#8216;lack of brows,&#8217; the odd shape of it all set me into a tailspin, sending the downward spiral in motion.\u00a0 If that were to happen, downward spiral in motion, self-doubts would set in and I might look in the mirror and say, &#8220;Oh man &#8230; It&#8217;s going to take months for my brows to return to their original shape.\u00a0 I look awful; a freak of nature.
