With appreciation and gratitude for all the tush kicking that you do,\u00a0 ~ <em><strong>Stuck In a Rut, Sandy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Dear Stuck in a Rut, Sandy<\/strong><\/em> ~\u00a0 Please know that you are not alone. I\u2019d venture to guess that the majority of us do go through periods of \u2018stuck.\u2019\u00a0 I\u2019ve certainly been there, and to be perfectly honest, there are still times when I\u2019m as motivated as a wet noodle, and getting me to move, take action or do anything is a big challenge.<\/p>\n<p>BUT, I\u2019ve learned a few ways to climb out of the hole, pull myself out of my self-imposed rut, break out of the slump, which I am more than happy to share with you today!<\/p>\n<p><strong>11 STEPS to BLAST OFF:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em><strong>Fully Energized and MOTIVATED<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step One:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 One <strong>THING<\/strong> @ a Time:\u00a0 If you are stuck in a rut, there\u2019s a good chance that you have too much going on at one time; perhaps you are working on too many goals, too many projects, trying to juggle too many balls simultaneously that can and will zap the energy and motivation right out of you.<\/p>\n<p><em>How difficult is it to maintain energy and focus (the two most important elements in getting things done, reaching your goals) if you are trying to do too many things at the same time?<\/em>\u00a0 Answer:\u00a0 I\u2019ve tried it and the simple answer is that \u2026 it is <em>extraordinarily difficult<\/em> if not <em>flat out impossible<\/em>. Your best bet is to zero in on O<strong>NE GOAL<\/strong>!!!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step Two:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Feed your soul with <strong>INSPIRATION<\/strong>.\u00a0 Inspiration shifts energy and it&#8217;s your way into feeling motivated.\u00a0 The easiest and often best place to find inspiration is by reading inspirational materials.\u00a0 I read blogs, books and magazines; I look at inspirational pictures\/photos, too.\u00a0 Where might you find inspiration?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Step Three:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Get <strong>EXCITED<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 In my workshops, I often share my SMARTEST Goals strategy.\u00a0 You may be familiar with SMART goals, a standard used by many corporations, organizations, coaches, and individuals.<\/p>\n<p>S \u2013 specific<br \/>\nM \u2013 measurable<br \/>\nA \u2013 accountable<br \/>\nR \u2013 realistic<br \/>\nT \u2013 timely<\/p>\n<p>I couldn\u2019t help but to add to this excellent tool and make it that much better!!!\u00a0 (In my humble opinion, anyway.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>E \u2013 excited<\/strong> \u2013 If you are not excited about your goal, good luck!\u00a0 Excitement is necessary; otherwise, how you gonna\u2019 keep the happy motivation going?<\/p>\n<p>S \u2013 stretch \u2013 Is your goal a bit of a challenge, a stretch?\u00a0 Don\u2019t want it to be too big of a stretch (small steps \u2013a another \u2018s\u2019 \u2013 is paramount), but a stretch of some kind is also imperative.<\/p>\n<p>T \u2013 truth \u2013 If you goal is not in alignment with your values, with the truth of who you are, with your authentic self, again \u2026 good luck.\u00a0 If it\u2019s somebody else\u2019s goal, give it back!!!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step Four:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Share Your Goal, Make it <strong>PUBLIC.<\/strong> Oh No, I just lost 3\/4 of you.\u00a0 I know that sharing your goal with friends and family can be really frightening; \u2018cause what if you don\u2019t make it, stick to it?\u00a0 Exactly!\u00a0 When you &#8216;go public,&#8217; you&#8217;re much more likely to do it!\u00a0 When I say make it public, I don\u2019t mean take out an ad in your local newspaper; I\u2019m just saying that making it official and telling\/asking your family\/friends for support makes it that much more real and you are that much more likely to manifest your goal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step Five<\/em>:<\/strong> Make a <strong>SIGN<\/strong>. Remembering your goal, keeping it present in your mind\u2019s eye, making it a part of who you are, takes effort.\u00a0 A good way to add an extra layer of \u2018goal insurance\u2019 is to print your goal in big words, and post it on your fridge; on the bathroom mirror, as a screensaver \u2026 wherever!\u00a0\u00a0 The more you \u2018see it,\u2019 the more your mind \u2018considers it&#8217; and &#8216;takes it in,&#8217; the more you are likely to \u2018do it!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step Six<\/em>:<\/strong>\u00a0 Get <strong>SUPPORT<\/strong>.\u00a0 I mentioned this in the friends\/family section.\u00a0 Support is key, and they\u2019re not the only people you can reach out to.\u00a0 We are here for you, Tushkateers across the land.\u00a0 Join groups, go to meetings, hang out with people who are reaching for the same goals.\u00a0 Click here and join our Facebook Group.\u00a0 Y&#8217;all can talk to each other!\u00a0 Imagine that!!!<br \/>\n<span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/maildogmanager.com\/lptrack.html?OurLadyofWeightLoss::603::http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/30757154492\/\">A KICK in the TUSH CLUB on FACEBOOK<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Step Seven:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Get <strong>REAL.<\/strong>\u00a0 Motivation is not a constant.\u00a0 It comes and goes, with the clouds, rolling in, rolling out.\u00a0 I\u2019ve said it before and I\u2019ll say it again (inspired from Zig Ziglar\u2019s motivational words):\u00a0 You don\u2019t say, \u201cGee, I washed yesterday; why do I have to do it again?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 You don\u2019t say, \u201cGee. I brushed my teeth, yesterday; you mean I have to do it again?\u201d\u00a0 You don\u2019t even say, \u201cGee, I dusted the furniture last week, you mean there\u2019s more dust and I have to do it again?\u201d\u00a0 Wash daily, brush twice daily, motivate thrice daily.\u00a0 It only lasts so long, before more residue from the day lands on it!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step Eight<\/em>:\u00a0<\/strong> <strong>STICK<\/strong> to it: <strong>Commit<\/strong>! <strong>Fall down 7 times, get up 8!!!<\/strong>\u00a0 Once you zero in on the one goal that you want to reach, no matter what, even if you fall off the wagon and are bruised \u2013 get back up and stick with it!\u00a0 There\u2019s no turning back.\u00a0 Ride it out.\u00a0 You know \u2013 do you not, that the people who \u2018make it\u2019 don\u2019t make it because they are so brilliant, talented, or even thin and pretty.\u00a0 They make it because they stick with it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step Nine:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Your First <strong>SMALL<\/strong> Step?\u00a0 I eluded to small steps in the SMARTEST section.\u00a0 For example: Let\u2019s say that you want to declutter your home, because each and every room and space is a mess, piles of stuff everywhere, and it&#8217;s totally screwing with your feng shui.\u00a0 Start in one corner, and each and every day \u2018declutter\u2019 for 5 minutes or even 2 minutes.\u00a0 Consistency counts.
