for those of you who are hyperventilating and can&#8217;t breathe &#8211; I sympathize, as does Our Lady of Weight Loss.\u00a0 Believe it or not, she too procrastinates, and she thought that today, Tax Day 2012, is the perfect day to shed lite on the topic and to &#8220;<strong>STOP PROCRASTINATING NOW.<\/strong>&#8221;\u00a0 Or, at least &#8230; <em><strong>Keep procrastination to a minimum<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">Needless to say, she and I have received a number of <em><strong>Chewing the Fat<\/strong> emails asking for help!\u00a0 &#8220;I keep putting off going to the gym.&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;I swear, I am going to start my healthy living plan on Monday morning, but then, I don&#8217;t.&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Help me to STOP procrastinating.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">So for those have written to me about weight loss procrastination, exercise procrastination, declutter procrastination, procrastination of any type, here follows <strong>9 STOP PROCRASTINATION NOW TIPS<\/strong> that I invite you to take in on a cellular level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Read on and then START STOPPING NOW<\/strong> <em>(Our Lady is getting a real &#8216;kick&#8217; out of that phrase.\u00a0 She&#8217;s going to drive me mad with it today, I am sure, as she whispers in my ear whenever possible and appropriate &#8221; START to STOP.&#8221;)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Here follow a few of Our Lady of Weight Loss&#8217;s &#8230;<br \/>\n&#8230; <strong>9 BEST STOP PROCRASTINATION NOW TIPS!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">1.\u00a0 <strong>SLEEP OFF the PROCRASTINATION<\/strong>.\u00a0 If you are living a stressful life (who isn&#8217;t???), and you are therefore not getting enough rest, for goodness sake, take care of yourself and sleep.\u00a0 START getting ENOUGH SLEEP NOW!\u00a0 Take plenty-O-time to rest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">2.\u00a0 <strong>GET HELP.<\/strong>\u00a0 No (wo)man is an island unto themselves.\u00a0 If you can&#8217;t do it all, ask someone to help you!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">3.\u00a0 <strong>CALENDAR-IZE IT.<\/strong>\u00a0 Believe it or not, if you do not set aside time to do the things you need to do, they won&#8217;t get done.\u00a0 I&#8217;m talking formally setting the time aside, as in putting it on your calendar, in &#8216;ink&#8217; as they say.\u00a0 Take a look at your calendar throughout the day and make sure that you stick to your schedule!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">4.\u00a0 <strong>SMALL DIGESTIBLE BITES.<\/strong>\u00a0 Bitable portions of work, work best!\u00a0 Don&#8217;t cram too much into any one day, lest your body and mind go into overload mode and sabotage your efforts by moving right back into procrastination mode.\u00a0 You dig?\u00a0 Small bites are digestible.\u00a0 Big bites choke!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">5.\u00a0 <strong>90 MINUTE BREAK TIME.<\/strong> \u00a0 Avoid burn-out by scheduling breaks every 90 minutes (do not take 90 minute breaks)!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">6.\u00a0 <strong>DO IT NOW!<\/strong>\u00a0 Whatever can be done in the &#8216;now,&#8217; should be done now.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the little things that add up and create some serious heavy-duty stress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">7.\u00a0 <strong>START BACKWARDS.<\/strong>\u00a0 When you have a task that MUST get done; a task that comes complete with deadline, note the deadline date and work backwards.\u00a0 Break the &#8216;main event&#8217; into small digestible bites, and then set a timeline for each step.\u00a0 If your timeline extends past your due date, ought oh &#8211; you&#8217;ll have to regroup and perhaps schedule two digestible bites daily!\u00a0 Get it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">8.\u00a0 <strong>REWARD vs. SACRIFICE<\/strong>.\u00a0 I know lazing on the sofa, watching Gilmore Girls is a treat, and giving it up is a sacrifice.\u00a0 (It is!\u00a0 Any time you change your behavior, maladaptive or not, a sacrifice is involved.\u00a0 Acknowledge the sacrifices that you are making by giving up procrastination, and then note the reward.\u00a0 Imagine how good it feels to get things done in a timely fashion; imagine how fantastic it might be to have all your work in order and pretty much if not entirely done; imagine what it might be like to be free of the <strong><em>heavy<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>weighty<\/em><\/strong> feelings that accompany procrastination!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">9.\u00a0<strong> ACCOUNTABLE TO WHOM?\u00a0<\/strong> Please do not tell me that you will be accountable to yourself, because honestly, has it ever worked?\u00a0 Perhaps you can find a friend to whom you can be accountable, or form your own START to STOP NOW group.\u00a0 Or, if you are looking for a neutral party, someone who excels at motivating others, someone is a trained listener and hears on an entirely different level, take that leap of faith and find yourself a life coach, thus ensuring that you steer clear of procrastination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\">***<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\">Hungry or the full skinny, the fully loaded <a href=\"http:\/\/maildogmanager.com\/page.html?p=000001XDDtjH84CrsVdWM3x6ElvtDmmsj9vXR+FSiR\/5V6EOIbEA==\">Kick in the Tush Club newsletter<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">***<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\">\n<p>Both OLofWL and I seriously love hearing from you!\u00a0 And if you are interested in my coaching services, then scroll down, read on &#8211;
