Things we can do to add energy, color and fun to our work place.<br \/>\n<em><strong><big>STIR IT UP Happy in the Work Place<\/big><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong><big>The Scoop &#8230;<\/big><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nEating one ounce of protein rich almonds per day can help to maintain a healthy cholesterol level.   <em>Calorie count:<\/em> 160 (approximately 23 almonds)<br \/>\n<em><strong><big>The Spread &#8230;<\/big><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nBuy a few ounces of almonds.  Count out one-ounce portions (approx. 23).  Place almonds in little plastic baggies along with &#8220;The Scoop&#8221; and keep handy for the 3 p.m. slump!  You&#8217;ll be the most popular person in the office.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\">* * *<\/div>\n<p><em><strong><big>The Scoop &#8230;<\/big><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nGet yourself a whole watermelon.  Leave it on the office kitchen counter for 5 days and watch the lycopene and beta-carotene levels rise by nearly 20%!<br \/>\n<em><strong><big>The Spread &#8230;<\/big><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nBring in a whole watermelon to work on Monday.  Place a sign next to it:  This watermelon&#8217;s lycopene and beta-carotene levels increase 4% per day.  To be cut and shared on Friday!  Woo Hoo!  Give everyone something to look forward to!  <em>Calorie count:<\/em> 1\/16 of a watermelon is approximately 90 calories.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><em>* * *<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em><strong><big>The Scoop . . .<\/big><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nInspiring words motivate.  According to <em>Psychological Scienc<\/em>e, simply reading an inspiring word can energize and motivate us to move forward.<br \/>\n<big><strong><em>The Spread . . .<\/em><\/strong><\/big><br \/>\nWrite up a weekly list of &#8216;good&#8217; words and use them as often as you can in your inter-office memos.  Watch the energy levels rise around you.
