{"id":109,"date":"2008-06-04T06:18:13","date_gmt":"2008-06-04T06:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/ourladyofweightloss\/2008\/06\/crazy-ates-eight-points-of-lit.html"},"modified":"2008-06-04T06:18:13","modified_gmt":"2008-06-04T06:18:13","slug":"crazy-ates-eight-points-of-lit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/ourladyofweightloss\/2008\/06\/crazy-ates-eight-points-of-lit.html","title":{"rendered":"Crazy ATES:  Eight Points of LITE from The Naturally Thin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I travel the road to Sveltesville and share my new book,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/All-Forgiven-Move-Fat-Burning-Sveltesville\/dp\/014200524X\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1197052667&amp;sr=1-1\"> All Is Forgiven, Move On<\/a>  and chew the fat with Our Lady of Weight Loss fans, one of the comments I have repeatedly heard is this:  <em><strong>&#8220;I wish I were a naturally thin person.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<strong>The Naturally Thin (TNT) -or- Fake It Till You Make It<\/strong> from<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/ourladyofweightloss\"> Janice Taylor, Beliefnet Blogger<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>I\u2019ve been observing \u2018the naturally thin<\/strong>\u2019<em> (heretofore referred to as TNT)<\/em> for close to seven years now, collecting data in my own very scientific manner, and this is what I know for sure about TNT.<br \/>\n<strong>Crazy ATES:  Eight Points of LITE from The Naturally Thin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n1. <strong>TNT do not go hog wild!<\/strong> Contrary to popular belief, the great majority of TNT people do put a ceiling on the amount of food they ingest, as well as what they ingest.  They are aware of their weight and want to maintain it and\/or they are concerned about their health.<br \/>\n2.  If a TNT person should eat more than he or she set out to, they just \u2018right\u2019 themselves the next day, without even thinking about it.<br \/>\n3.  When eating out, TNT people either order an appetizer for their main dish \u2013or- they share their main dish with someone at the table \u2013 or- they only eat half of it <em>(without having to pour hot sauce, pepper and other ingredients on it to make it uneatable)<\/em>.<br \/>\n4.  TNT people enjoy what they are eating.  They are present <em>(in the moment)<\/em> with their food.  They are not preoccupied with the next bite, the next course or the next meal.<br \/>\n5.  TNT people don\u2019t stuff down their emotions.  In fact, I have encountered TNT people who actually lose their appetites when upset.  Imagine that!<br \/>\n6.  TNT people eat until sated (not stuffed).  What\u2019s your definition of full? <em> (FYI \u2026 in my \u2018past\u2019 life, I ate until I couldn\u2019t breathe.  That\u2019s when I knew I was full!) <\/em><br \/>\n7.  TNT people\u2019s good moods are not dependent on the Scales of Injustice.<br \/>\n8.  TNT people don\u2019t suffer from food amnesia.
