More under control. Finally the time would come when I could freely and happily do what was most important\u2014give back to God by giving my <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/onfire\/about-your-gift.html\">Gift<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But it didn\u2019t happen\u2014the part about life getting easier or more under control. No matter what I do, there are always unexpected events, mishaps, new turns in the road.<\/p>\n<p>Most of all, people\u2014family, bosses, coworkers, friends, etc.\u2014defy predictability.<\/p>\n<p>Being a human on planet earth is\u2026complicated.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, wise Guides point the way:<\/p>\n<p><em>What\u2019s really needed is nothing more than a broad sense of what you are looking for, some strategy for how to find it, and an overriding willingness to embrace mistakes and surprises along the way. Simply put, making art is chancy\u2014it doesn\u2019t mix well with predictability. Uncertainty is the essential inevitable and all-pervasive companion to your desire to make art.
