On the Internet, there were reports that Easter eggs\u00a0are now\u00a0banned in Seattle schools.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/218\/2011\/04\/easter-egg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-924\" title=\"easter egg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/218\/2011\/04\/easter-egg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>Well, it turns out that a 16-year-old high school student identified only as \u201cJessica\u201d told a Seattle radio talk-show host of her experience as a volunteer in a third-grade class at a local elementary school, which she chose not to identify.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica told\u00a0KIRO Radio host Dori Monson that a week before spring break, her private high school\u2019s students commit to a week-long community service project. She decided to volunteer in a third grade class at a nearby public school<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At the end of the week I had an idea to fill little plastic eggs with treats and jelly beans and other candy, but I was kind of unsure how the teacher would feel about that,&#8221; Jessica told Monson&#8217;s radio listeners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was concerned how the teacher might react to the eggs,\u201d reports Stephanie Klein of MyNorthwest.com, a Seattle news site.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I went to the teacher to get her approval and she wanted to ask the administration to see if it was okay,&#8221; Jessica explained. &#8220;She said that I could do it as long as I called this treat &#8216;spring spheres.&#8217; I couldn&#8217;t call them Easter eggs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/218\/2011\/04\/easter-egg2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-925\" title=\"easter egg2\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/218\/2011\/04\/easter-egg2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a>Rather than question the decision, Jessica opted to &#8220;roll with it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the third graders had other ideas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I took them out of the bag, the teacher said, &#8216;Oh look, spring spheres.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, the kids weren&#8217;t fooled.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All the kids were like &#8216;Wow, Easter eggs.'&#8221; said Jessica.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So they knew.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It had to be a rumor.
