Well, these Houstonians took their cue from David the Psalmist as they danced before the Lord with all their hearts.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dance Your Shoes Off (2011) | Second Baptist Church Houston\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8KX2-J6uS-o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m an atheist but I have to say that this video was spectacular,\u201d wrote a viewer on the Internet. \u201cI may not agree with the beliefs of Christians but I don&#8217;t think having faith is a bad thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not everybody was impressed. \u201cIf only the church would put this much time and effort into actually proclaiming the Gospel, rather than doing a silly dance,\u201d wrote one viewer.<\/p>\n<p>That prompted one of the actual dancers to respond: \u201cThank you for your honesty. We do. We baptized 2,364 people in 2010.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event was called \u201cDance Your Shoes Off!\u201d Its purpose was \u201cto proclaim the resurrection of Jesus Christ in a powerful and celebratory way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally,\u00a0each participant left a new pair of shoes on the grass for those in need.
