I gave <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/simple-answers-to-difficult-questions.html\">simple answers to difficult questions<\/a> and then <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/dana-ellis-haunted-by-questions.html\">Dana Ellis revealed the questions that haunt her<\/a>. Stephen Hawking said the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/stephen-hawking-god-and-twitter.html\">universe didn&#8217;t need God<\/a>, Shawn Smucker had <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/the-problem-with-john-316.html\">a problem with John 3:16<\/a> and we listed <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/which-books-have-shaped-you.html\">the books that shaped us<\/a>. Dr. Robert Cargill outed himself as &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/robert-cargill-skeptic-sanctuary.html\">the skeptic in the sanctuary<\/a>.&#8221; I posted a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/in-remembrance-coloring-and-context.html\">9\/11 remembrance<\/a> involving crayons. A dude in my hometown helped <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/quran-burning-thwarted-good-job-amarillo.html\">thwart the local Quran burning<\/a> and we discussed how to <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/how-to-love-your-neighbor.html\">love our Islamic neighbor<\/a>. Question: What do you do when <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/letters-when-faith-seems-impossible.html\">faith seems impossible<\/a>? Leanna Tankersley braved the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/leeana-tankersley-the-swirling-waters.html\">swirling waters<\/a>. I braved a lot of push-back involving <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/calvin-college-cancels-new-pornographers.html\">this post<\/a> (and especially for <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/calvin-college-cancels-new-pornographers.html\">this retraction<\/a>) when Calvin College uninvited The New Pornagraphers from playing on campus. Chad Gibbs mused about <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/chad-gibbs-when-it-doesnt-seem-fair.html\">unfairness<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/atheists-know-more-about-the-bible-than-christians.html\">Atheists know more about religion<\/a> than Christians. The devil came to <i><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/09\/devil-storm-american-life.html\">This American Life<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><b>October<\/b><br \/>Children&#8217;s author Sally-Lloyd Jones told <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/sally-lloyd-jones-where-did-you-put-your-faith.html\">where she put her faith<\/a>. We explored geocentricity and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/geocentric.html\">taking the Bible literally<\/a>. I asked <i><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/trendy-doubt.html\">Is doubt a trend?<\/a><\/i> Matthew Paul Turner let us <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/matthew-paul-turner-letting-them-see.html\">see his doubt<\/a>. When the gay bullying stories peaked, I posted a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/bullied-for-being-gay.html\">couple<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/letters-desperate-to-belong.html\">friends <\/a>who&#8217;d experienced it&#8230;in church. Cara Davis revealed her <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/cara-davis-a-textbook-case.html\">textbook case of doubt<\/a>. Inspired by a billboard, I asked &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/texas-church-admits-theyre-jerks.html\">Are Christians jerks?<\/a>&#8221; and we pondered the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/the-silence-of-god.html\">silence of God<\/a>. David Dark guest-posted about <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/david-dark-the-wonder-working-power-of-sacred-questioning.html\">sacred questioning<\/a>. I revealed how I <strike>found<\/strike> <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/finding-time-to-write.html\">made time to write<\/a>. A strangely confident lady in a video revealed how she <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/how-to-evangelize-an-atheist.html\">evangelized atheists<\/a>. Larry Shallenberger guest posted about <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/10\/larry-shallenberger-the-knight-and-the-fortune-cookie.html\">Don Quixote and fortune cookies<\/a> (and doubt).<\/p>\n<p><b>November<\/b><br \/>I had to justify <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/on-self-justification.html\">my writing and speaking career<\/a> to a random guy at the airport, then I asked whether <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/god-and-politics.html\">God cares about our elections<\/a>. (If so, why didn&#8217;t Christine O&#8217;Donnell win?) Carlene Bauer revealed that she is the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/carlene-bauer-prodigal-daughter.html\">prodigal daughter<\/a>. The atheist ad campaign invited us to &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/consider-humanism-an-ad-campaign.html\">Consider Humanism<\/a>,&#8221; so we did. As is my Veterans Day custom, I posted about <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/the-day-i-met-paw-paw.html\">my granddad<\/a>. Dean Nelson encouraged us to <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/dean-nelson-test-everything.html\">test everything<\/a>. I let loose with some unfiltered thoughts about <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/bits-and-pieces-and-unfiltered-thoughts.html\">science and how it reflects upon a Designer<\/a>, then David Sessions let loose with his story about the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/david-sessions-the-hard-work-of-faith.html\">hard work of faith<\/a>. Do we believe out of hope? We discussed a thought-provoking <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/scepticism-from-fear-or-hope-from-belief.html\">quote from William James<\/a>. NFL player Steve Johnson tweeted his displeasure with God and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/11\/god-done-steve-johnson-wrong.html\">we had fun at his (Steve&#8217;s) expense<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>December<\/b><br \/>THIS is December. Do I really need to recap that last few weeks? No. But my post about <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/12\/anne-hathaway-catholic.html\">Anne Hathaway leaving the Catholic Church<\/a> was a popular one, as was the one about a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/12\/jesus-is-coming-back-look-pretty.html\">Second Coming jewelry sale<\/a> by a guy in Wisconsin. And we were treated to &#8220;Voices of Doubt&#8221; posts from <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/12\/trudy-morgan-cole-the-squirmin-herman-of-doubt.html\">Trudy Morgan-Cole<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/12\/jamie-wright-a-born-doubter.html\">Jamie Wright<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/omeoflittlefaith\/2010\/12\/shawn-smucker-doubt-as-discovery.html\">Shawn Smucker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>This is a good time<\/b> to say thanks for reading.
