Got to work on a bunch of fun ad campaigns, mostly targeted at Relevant&#8217;s core demographic of young, twenty-ish consumers &#8212; who are known for being into irony, surreal humor, and silly things. That&#8217;s why, if you go to the Relevant Solutions site linked above, you&#8217;ll find self-marketing tag lines involving cupcakes. (I wrote most of those, by the way, including possibly one of the best things I&#8217;ve ever written, which is this: <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The only thing we take seriously is you. And rattlesnakes.<\/span>)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, former Relevant staffer <a href=\"http:\/\/tylerwashere.blogspot.com\/\">Tyler Clark<\/a> recently reminded me, <a href=\"http:\/\/tylerwashere.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/everything-ends-up-on-youtube.html\">via his blog<\/a>, of a 2006 campaign they put together to promote Relevant Network, a package they sell to church leaders. It involved the following video clip, the execution of which makes me laugh every time. Enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><object height=\"355\" width=\"425\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/NzVg9Kpt0pI\"><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/NzVg9Kpt0pI\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" height=\"355\" width=\"425\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Sadly, I can&#8217;t take much credit for it. If I remember right, all I came up with was the text about puppets. But I was involved.
