To give it some context, it&#8217;s preceded by a section about the Egyptian Book of the Dead and followed by some stuff about the emergence of Hinduism.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_HXZOhc9ASlo\/SOTeCOIfImI\/AAAAAAAAAGg\/bcuIaTeArpk\/s1600-h\/mosesferrell.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px;float: right;cursor: pointer;width: 234px;height: 156px\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_HXZOhc9ASlo\/SOTeCOIfImI\/AAAAAAAAAGg\/bcuIaTeArpk\/s320\/mosesferrell.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">1500 BCE, Egypt: <\/span>Keeping with the death-in-ancient-Egypt theme, the Angel of Death arrives at the Nile Delta to perform the dramatic final act of the ten plagues as told in the Old Testament book of Exodus. The angel passes over Egypt, killing all the first-born sons of the Egyptians but sparing those Israelite families who have smeared the blood of a lamb upon their doorposts. This leads to the Jews\u2019 Moses-guided mass exodus out of Egypt. It also leads to the traditional Jewish Passover celebration. And the idea of a death-dealing angel also leads to the development of the western idea of the Grim Reaper, which is the concept behind the hit 1976 hit song \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.songfacts.com\/detail.php?id=1607\">(Don\u2019t Fear) the Reaper<\/a>\u201d by Blue Oyster Cult, which provides the musical setting for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.funnyhub.com\/videos\/pages\/snl-more-cowbell.html\">the famous Saturday Night Live skit<\/a> in 2000 that introduces the catchphrase \u201cmore cowbell!\u201d to popular culture, and which therefore confirms the ancient Mayan prophecies predicting a direct, mystical link between Moses and Will Ferrell.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">In related news, <\/span>have you purchased your personally signed and shipped copy of <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Pocket Guide to the Bible<\/span> &#8212; the original version? <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.jasonboyett.com\/2008\/05\/nine-thousand-fifty-three.html\">I only have, like, 8500 remaining<\/a>.
