\"\"<\/a>Mars has now entered Leo, where it will remain until July 29th.<\/strong> Whether or not people are into astrology, on some level or another there is likely to be a sense that it’s time to relax. That’s not just because Mars in Cancer is a placement where the bold and combative energy of Mars can be frustrated. It’s also because we are pulling away from Mars opposite Pluto. That’s an aspect which, regardless of the Sign placements involved, can be incredibly frustrating. But now with Mars in Leo we should (hopefully) catch a break.<\/p>\n

Mars in Leo can be a reminder that a playful attitude can be helpful in a dark time.<\/strong> It can be that small boost of good cheer that gets you through a bad day. And, if you’ll forgive me for making today’s blog entry about me? I have an example of just that sort of thing for you.<\/p>\n

If you haven’t before, take a look at that photo of me at the top of the page.<\/strong> That was me… more years ago than I care to think about… when I lived in San Francisco. It was a different era of my life, and for the most part it was a pretty good one. After that, another era began when I moved to New York. That era of my life was, overall, terrible. A few of you out there reading this may know some of the details. For those of you don’t? Please don’t ask.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I loved those sunglasses back in San Francisco (which I gleefully swiped from my girlfriend at the time, who also happens to be a gifted photographer — thus, the picture at the top of the page). And symbolically it makes perfect sense that those shades would disappear on me during that terrible time in New York.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fast forward a couple of years later, and I managed to escape back to Canada and spend a few years recovering from the worst era of my life. Being home was the kind of comfort and rest that I needed in order to get some sanity and stability back.<\/p>\n

I moved from that place a couple of days ago, and it feels like a new era has begun again.<\/strong> Will it be a time of optimism and personal growth and healing? I certainly hope so. And if I needed a sign? It was yesterday when I was doing my final packing. Sure enough, there they were in a forgotten inner pocket of a suitcase: the purple aviators.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My point here is that there is always hope somehow, if you know where to look and are willing to hang on.<\/strong> This, I think, is one of my favorite things about doing readings for people: helping them see the light at the end of the tunnel, and helping them see how much more tunnel there is to go through… and what to expect once they are out of that tunnel. And in the meantime? We’ll fret over that bit near the end of the month where Mars interacts with the Saturn-Uranus square<\/a> later this month closer to when it happens.<\/p>\n

For now, though? Go forth hopefully with Mars in Leo.<\/strong> I know I will.<\/p>\n
