\"\"<\/a>Many people who are into astrology, and even many those who practice it for a living, have a reflexive fear of what is called the Saturn Return<\/a><\/strong>. They’ll tell you lots of stories about people who died around the age of 28 or so, and if they’re old enough they’ll likely recount some horror from around that time in their own life. Nonetheless, depending on what else is going on with your chart and your transits, a Saturn Return can be a very good thing. Case in point: one of the stars of this year’s biggest box office hit\u2026 King Kong.<\/p>\n

Yes, that’s right. King Kong has a birth chart.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When we are looking at the astrology of an event rather than a person, we call that “mundane astrology.”<\/strong> And when we want to look at the astrology of a fictional character, at least as far as how successful they will be in the marketplace? We look to the date, time, and place that character first appeared to the public, whether in print, or on TV, or on the movie screen.<\/p>\n

Thus, we can say that King Kong was “born” on March 2, 1933, 10:30 AM, at Radio City Music Hall in New York<\/strong> (yes, I know 10:30 AM sounds like a strange time for a movie premiere, but I double-checked that).<\/p>\n

Godzilla vs Kong<\/em> is the biggest movie of the year so far.<\/strong> It was released on King Kong’s exact Saturn return at 11 degrees Aquarius. You would think this could be bad news, but it is not. First of all, in Kong’s birth chart, Saturn is closely conjunct the midheaven. Saturn is also the traditional ruler of Aquarius, so in fact in a case like this a Saturn Return can be considered to be “the ruler of the midheaven returns to the midheaven.” That can often spell success for the career. Further, natal Saturn is in a close trine to Kong’s ascendant at 10 degrees Gemini. That sounds good for making public appearances, doesn’t it?<\/p>\n

It’s also worthwhile to note that Kong had a pretty successful first Saturn return as well.<\/strong> It was during that time that King Kong vs Godzilla<\/em> was released in 1962.<\/p>\n

Kong is a Pisces with Moon in Taurus, with his Moon in the 12th house. That kind of suits his personality, but I’ll leave it to you to play with that.<\/p>\n

So next time your Saturn Return (or someone else’s) is coming up, don’t panic and don’t just listen to the alarms.<\/strong> Contact your local astrologer and have him or her walk you through it.<\/p>\n
