They’re inherently a little unpredictable in their effects, and have a sneaky habit of lurking in your chart until some other transit sets them off.<\/p>\n

Still, one shouldn’t over-sell the potential peril involved when an Eclipse happens. Eclipses can bring surprises, but some surprises are good, right?<\/strong> In 2021 we get four opportunities to test that contention, as follows…<\/p>\n

MAY 26, 2021<\/strong>
\nLUNAR ECLIPSE AT 5 DEGREES SAGITTARIUS<\/strong>
\nWe sometimes forget that an Eclipse is also a New Moon (if it’s a Solar Eclipse) or a Full Moon (if it’s a Lunar Eclipse). Even if that specific New Moon\/Eclipse doesn’t make for long-term mayhem, they can certainly set off some temporary drama. Such is particularly the case with the May 26 Lunar Eclipse. It’s a Full Moon that falls right in the middle of Saturn square Uranus, and Mercury and Venus both square Neptune. Relationship drama, anyone?<\/p>\n

JUNE 10, 2021<\/strong>
\nSOLAR ECLIPSE AT 19 DEGREES GEMINI<\/strong>
\nThis could be a tense time. New Moons don’t have the same reputation for emotional blow-ups that Full Moons have, but they can be a trigger — especially under circumstances like this. Once again we are looking at the Saturn square Uranus meat-grinder, which is even closer in orb than it was for the May 26th Eclipse. On top of that, the Sun Moon conjunction is square Neptune, and Mars in Cancer (a problematic position in the first place) is opposite Pluto. Why not lay low for a few days?<\/p>\n

NOVEMBER 19, 2021<\/strong>
\nLUNAR ECLIPSE AT 27 DEGREES TAURUS<\/strong>
\nSure, this Eclipse may be square Jupiter… but it’s trine Pluto, and within trine range of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 2020. As “surprises” go, this could mean some good news around the things that made your 2020 so… um… surprising. And, just like most of 2021, the Saturn-Uranus square is a factor.<\/p>\n

DECEMBER 4, 2021<\/strong>
\nSOLAR ECLIPSE AT 12 DEGREES SAGITTARIUS<\/strong>
\nWhat’s unusual about this Eclipse is that the Eclipse Point is largely unaspected by other planets, other than a sextile to Saturn. In theory, that could make any surprises associated with this Eclipse constructive and useful. Of course, there’s also a quincunx from Uranus to potentially make things go sideways. And hey — 2021 hasn’t even started yet, and I’m already sick and tired of Saturn square Uranus!<\/p>\n

Get used to that. Saturn square Uranus will be messing with the entire year.<\/strong> Put the gun down, Dear Reader… I’m just the messenger, okay?<\/p>\n
