A typical horoscope lays out what you can expect for yourself in the next week or month based on your Sun Sign.<\/strong> That sort of thing is great, sure\u2026 especially if you happen to be the only person on your planet. Astrology, like life in general, is a lot more complicated than \u201cthere are twelve types of people, and here\u2019s what\u2019s going to happen to them today.\u201d<\/p>\n

This \u201choroscope\u201d is a listing of the major planetary aspects, ingresses, and events for July 2017. Each aspect is described below, with the date the aspect is exact and a \u201c+\/-\u201d which indicates the number of days that aspect will be most in effect.<\/strong> Generally, the closer to the exact date, the more pronounced the effect of the transit. And of course, as with everything else in life: your mileage may vary.<\/p>\n

But first, a word about aspects in general. Conjunctions, squares and oppositions can all be difficult.<\/strong> They generate the sort of energy that can get all up in your face and is hard to ignore, but it\u2019s hard to get much done in life without the raw energy they supply. Trines and sextiles<\/strong> are helpful and constructive, but it\u2019s easy to miss out on the opportunities they provide unless you make an effort.<\/p>\n

August 4\u00a0\u00a0 Jupiter square Pluto<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 10 days) Energy and enthusiasm are great and wonderful things — but they can also fuel a riot. Make sure you’re justified before you start throwing bricks.<\/p>\n

August 7\u00a0\u00a0 Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees Aquarius<\/strong>
\n(Check back here for details closer to that date!)<\/em><\/p>\n

August 10<\/strong>\u00a0 Mercury sextile Venus<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Creativity and clever communications are all possible now.<\/p>\n

August 10\u00a0\u00a0 Mars quincunx Neptune<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 6 days) So sexy, so charismatic… and potentially so delusional! You may be feeling lucky without good reason, and you may succumb to flattery.<\/p>\n

August 10\u00a0\u00a0 Sun sextile Jupiter<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 5 days) Generally a good and optimistic time, filled with good energy and a feeling that things will work out all right.<\/p>\n

August 12, 2017\u00a0\u00a0 Mercury Retrograde<\/strong>
\nBe particularly cautious with your communications, short trips, and agreements until September 5th.<\/p>\n

August 12\u00a0 Venus trine Neptune<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 4 days) Sweetness and light, romance and kindness, and broken diets and overspending!<\/p>\n

August 13\u00a0 Sun trine Saturn<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 5 days) A good time to “get your act together” and make some positive changes in your life.<\/p>\n

August 15\u00a0\u00a0 Venus opposite Pluto<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 4 days) The depth of your feelings and affections increases… be careful not to drown in them.<\/p>\n

August 16 \u00a0 Mars quincunx Pluto<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 10 days) Quincunxes indicate two planets that are forced to interact but do so awkwardly. Mars and Pluto combined this way can make for sudden, inappropriate outburts of anger or lust. Be careful with those!<\/p>\n

August 17\u00a0\u00a0 Venus square Jupiter<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 4 days) Good times! How good? Really good, probably… unless you need to control your blood sugar or you are an excessive hugger.<\/p>\n

August 20\u00a0 Mars sextile Jupiter<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 6 days) An opportunity to usefully employ your energy towards making your life (and those of others) a better place.<\/p>\n

August 21 \u00a0 Solar Eclipse at 28 degrees Leo<\/strong>

August 21\u00a0 Sun trine Uranus<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 4 days) It’s good to be an individual and to express it your own way. Be yourself — no one else has the clothes for it.<\/p>\n

\n(+\/- 6 days) Leave a lasting impression, make a breakthrough that will stick, and focus your energy on long-standing obstacles.<\/p>\n

August 24\u00a0\u00a0 Venus square Uranus<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 4 days) Strange and unusual affections, new attractions, and peculiar tastes are cropping up in unexpected places.<\/p>\n
