A typical horoscope lays out what you can expect for yourself in the next week or month based on your Sun Sign.<\/strong> That sort of thing is great, sure\u2026 especially if you happen to be the only person on your planet. Astrology, like life in general, is a lot more complicated than \u201cthere are twelve types of people, and here\u2019s what\u2019s going to happen to them today.\u201d<\/p>\n

This \u201choroscope\u201d is a listing of the major planetary aspects, ingresses, and events for July 2017. Each aspect is described below, with the date the aspect is exact and a \u201c+\/-\u201d which indicates the number of days that aspect will be most in effect.<\/strong> Generally, the closer to the exact date, the more pronounced the effect of the transit. And of course, as with everything else in life: your mileage may vary.<\/p>\n

But first, a word about aspects in general. Conjunctions, squares and oppositions can all be difficult.<\/strong> They generate the sort of energy that can get all up in your face and is hard to ignore, but it\u2019s hard to get much done in life without the raw energy they supply. Trines and sextiles<\/strong> are helpful and constructive, but it\u2019s easy to miss out on the opportunities they provide unless you make an effort.<\/p>\n

July \u00a02, 2017 \u00a0\u00a0 * Mars opposite Pluto *<\/em><\/strong>
\n(+\/- 10 days) This is dominant aspect for the first part of this month. There’s tension in the air, and an urge to break things rather than fix them.<\/p>\n

July 4, 2017\u00a0 Venus enters Gemini<\/strong>
\nAn excellent time to talk your way into someone’s heart, or out of trouble.<\/p>\n

July \u00a04, 2017 \u00a0 \u00a0Mercury square Uranus<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Original ideas, but difficulty in making them work or be understood properly.<\/p>\n

July 5, 2017 Mercury enters Leo<\/strong>
\nNot the most detailed-oriented of Mercury placements… but a good time to plan on having some fun and expressing yourself creatively.<\/p>\n

July \u00a05, 2017 \u00a0 \u00a0Sun trine Neptune<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Your place in life gets a little hazy, but not necessarily in a bad way.<\/p>\n

\nOne of the year’s crazier Full Moons, as the Moon is conjunct Pluto. Watch your temper!<\/p>\n

July 10, 2017 \u00a0 Sun opposite Pluto<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Tensions arise when egos clash. Try to take the High Road.<\/p>\n

July 14, 2017 \u00a0 \u00a0Mercury sextile Jupiter<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Big ideas and creativity abound in your communications.<\/p>\n

July 17, 2017 \u00a0 Venus square Neptune<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Big enthusiastic affections and expressions — but how practical are they, really?<\/p>\n

July 17, 2017 \u00a0\u00a0 * Mars square Uranus *<\/em><\/strong>
\n(+\/- 10 days) …and here’s the aspect that eats up much of the middle of the month. Tempers and sex drive can become awkward, uncomfortable, and unexpected. Get your blood pressure checked.<\/p>\n

July 18, 2017 \u00a0 \u00a0Venus trine Jupiter<\/strong>
\n(+\/- 3 days) Why can’t we all just get along? Maybe under this aspect we can, for at least a little while.<\/p>\n

\nDrama is perhaps one of the first of all human arts. The thing is, though? You can turn off that movie any time you want — but Mars in Leo lasts for a month and a half. Have fun with it, and don’t take yourself too seriously.<\/p>\n
