Look at the list given in Philippians 4:8, and see who or what qualifies as being true, noble, just, right, pure, lovely and admirable. Once you add in excellent and praiseworthy, very few things make the cut. I would argue that the best embodiment of these qualities is Jesus himself. Look at how the Bible describes Jesus in Colossians 2:2-3, <i>\u201cChrist, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>When you think on noble things, you\u2019re thinking on things that reflect the nature of God or you\u2019re thinking about God himself. How important is it to fix your mind on God? The Bible says in Romans 12, <i>\u201cbe transformed by the renewing of your mind.\u201d <\/i>If you change the way you think, you\u2019ll change the way you live. Think on noble things; dwell on things that reflect the character of God. Focus your mind on God himself, and watch your life be transformed from the inside out.<\/p>\n<p><b>WRITE IT<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/nextsteps\/2019\/01\/philippians-4-challenge-day-17.html#comments\">Share in the comments below<\/a> and answer this question, \u201cWhat are things (or people) that you can think about today that reflect the character of God?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>PRAY IT<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>God, would you transform me through the renewing of my mind. Amen.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>LIVE IT<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a great way to think on noble things: memorize Scripture.
