Praying is good, but praying Scripture is much better. It’s asking God for things He’s already promised He would give you, it’s claiming promises that have already been made. Here are ten incredible Scriptures to pray over yourself:<\/p>\n

Romans 8:1-2<\/span>. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.<\/strong> You are no longer condemned. If you feel any condemnation from God, it is a lie, an accusation from the enemy. Claim your rights and remind yourself that you are free in Christ.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 10:13<\/span>.\u00a0No temptation\u00a0has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful;\u00a0he will not let you be tempted\u00a0beyond what you can bear.\u00a0But when you are tempted,\u00a0he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.\u00a0<\/strong>You have power over your everyday temptations. You no longer have to be the victim. Whenever you’re tempted, God has provided a way out. It’s up to you to take it.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:17<\/span>. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,\u00a0the new creation\u00a0has come:\u00a0The old has gone, the new is here!<\/strong> You are a new person. the old is gone, done away with, buried into death through baptism. It’s the new you now. Don’t allow the shadow of your former self to hang over you. You’re new.<\/p>\n

Galatians 6:9<\/span>.\u00a0Let us not become weary in doing good,\u00a0for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.<\/strong> What you’re doing is making a difference, even if you can’t see the reward right now. Don’t give up, keep doing good, and you will reap a harvest at the proper time.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 3:20-21<\/span>.\u00a0Now to him who is able\u00a0to do immeasurably more than all we ask\u00a0or imagine, according to his power\u00a0that is at work within us,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Never stop reminding yourself that the God you serve is able to do much more than you can even ask or imagine. God is all-powerful. We serve the God who created the utter vastness of the universe with a spoken word.<\/span><\/p>\n

Philippians 4:19<\/span>. And my God will meet all your needs\u00a0according to the riches of his glory\u00a0in Christ Jesus.<\/strong> God has promised to meet all our needs in Christ Jesus (note that there’s a difference between ‘needs’ and ‘wants’). While God never promises to be Santa Clause giving us our Christmas wish lists, He does promise to meet all our needs. And He is faithful.<\/p>\n

Colossians 1:9-10<\/span>.\u00a0We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will\u00a0through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>so that you may live a life worthy\u00a0of the Lord and please him\u00a0in every way.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>God wants us to live a life that pleases Him in every way, and as we grow in our faith and in the wisdom and understanding that comes through the Spirit, we can live a life worthy of our Savior.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24<\/span>.\u00a0May God himself, the God of peace,\u00a0sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul\u00a0and body be kept blameless\u00a0at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0<\/span>The one who calls\u00a0you is faithful,\u00a0and he will do<\/span> it.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>God has promised that He will continually sanctity us, that is make us holy. God will continually purify us from all unrighteousness and conform us into the image of His beautiful son Jesus. God never stops making you more and more holy.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Thessalonians 3:16<\/span>.\u00a0Now may the Lord of peace\u00a0himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.<\/strong> God promises us peace, because He himself is peace. In a world filled with literally everything to worry about, we need to cling to this promise and declare to ourselves that God has promised to give us peace at all times and in every way.<\/p>\n

2 Timothy 1:7<\/span>.\u00a0For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,\u00a0but gives us power,\u00a0love and self-discipline.<\/strong> We don’t have to live lives of fear. We don’t have to live lives of defeat. We have been given a spirit of power, a spirit that loves others and a spirit that conquers our demons.
