Just days after Iran released two Americans accused of spying, an\u00a0Iranian court has upheld the apostasy conviction and execution<\/a>sentence of\u00a0Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani.<\/a><\/p>\n

Pastor Youcef will be brought to the court for\u00a0one final \u201chearing\u201d on September 28th for the sole purpose of being called upon to recant his Christian faith.\u00a0<\/a>The\u00a0ACLJ\u2019s sources report<\/a>\u00a0that although Pastor Youcef\u2019s attorneys will attempt to appeal the case, there is no guarantee that the provincial court will not act on its own interpretation of Sharia law and execute pastor Youcef as early as Wednesday.<\/p>\n
