Four months ago, Johnson, who was\u00a0a manager at a Planned Parenthood facility in Sherman, Texas, resigned from her position with Planned Parenthood and is now speaking out about her abrupt about-face.<\/p>\n
Trevino\u00a0says that although the particular Planned Parenthood where she worked did not perform surgical abortions, she was struggling with her conscience on contraception, abortion and her role in it all.<\/p>\n
Just like Johnson, Trevino credits\u00a0a pro-life\u00a0campaign outside her Planned Parenthood facility with helping her move toward “a pro-life way of thinking,” writes Baklinski. She says she went from believing she was providing a service to women in need, to realizing that Planned Parenthood \u201ctreated women like cattle and how they only cared about making money\u201d \u2013 a realization she says was \u201clong overdue.\u201d<\/p>\n
Planned Parenthood closed its Sherman clinic where Ramona was manager on August 23, after Texas Governor Rick Perry signed into law a bill that stripped the organization of its funding, and prohibited the state government from contracting with any organization that provides abortions.<\/p>\n
