The British newspaper the Telegraph<\/em> reports:<\/p>\n

In the past week, dozens of streets in the London boroughs of Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets and Newham have been targeted, raising fears that local residents may be intimidated or threatened for flouting “Islamic rules.”<\/p>\n

One resident said: \u201cThey appeared a couple of days ago and quite a few people are talking about it and taking pictures.<\/p>\n

Muslim cleric\u00a0Anjem Choudary has claimed responsibility, saying he plans to flood specific communities around the United Kingdom\u00a0and “put the seeds down for an Islamic Emirate in the long term.”<\/span><\/p>\n
