Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli recently told a group of 250 pastors that the churches are not only permitted \u2014 but also expected \u2014 to speak out on political issues.<\/p>\n

He encouraged the pastors to give \u201cguidance on issues that fall in the political world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCuccinelli followed in the footsteps of those government magistrates in the Bible of whom [John] Calvin says that are praised for \u2018taking care that religion flourished under them in purity and safety.\u2019\u201d writes Bojidar Marinov in a guest column on the website American Vision.<\/p>\n
