Also banned in this small country wedged between China and India would be providing disaster aid, giving free medical care to the poor\u00a0and campaigning against the Hindu caste system — which brands some citizens as “untouchables” and others as elite.<\/p>\n

As currently proposed, the new constitution also would make it a criminal offense for anyone to play any part in another person changing their religion \u2013 with a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a hefty fine, according to the Christian advocacy groups Release International and Compass Direct.<\/p>\n
