New York City has chosen to honor the memory of seven fallen heroes \u2013 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9\/11 \u2013 by naming the street that their fire station is on \u201cSeven in Heaven Way.\u201d Should this be a constitutional crisis?<\/p>\n

As this street sign honoring the fire fighters\u2019 sacrifice made its way through the approval process, no one complained. But now, after the sign\u2019s unveiling, a group called New York City Atheists has threatened to file a lawsuit if it is not removed.<\/p>\n

The group\u2019s president declared, \u201cWe\u2019ve concluded as atheists there is no heaven.\u201d Another atheist leader added, incorrectly, that, \u201cHeaven is a specifically Christian place.\u201d<\/p>\n
