In an emotional and faith-filled moment, the children of reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley are celebrating what they call a miracle: a presidential pardon that is bringing their parents home.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump announced plans this week to pardon the Chrisley Knows Best<\/em> couple, who were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion and sentenced to lengthy prison terms. The announcement brought immediate joy\u2014and tears\u2014from their children, who have been advocating for their release since they entered prison in early 2023.<\/p>\n

“I am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration,” said their son, Chase Chrisley, in a statement<\/a> to the New York Post<\/em>. “I’m beyond thankful to have my parents back home finally and my family together again!”<\/p>\n

The pardon, which Trump announced in a personal phone call to Chase and Savannah Chrisley from the Oval Office, was described as imminent. “We’ll try getting it done tomorrow,” Trump said in the call, which was later posted to social media<\/a> with the caption, “Trump Knows Best!”<\/p>\n

On the call, a tearful Chase thanked Trump directly: “Thank you for bringing my parents back.” Savannah echoed the gratitude: “Thank you so much, Mr. President.”<\/p>\n

The former president added that Todd and Julie “were given pretty harsh treatment” and offered them his best wishes: “Congratulate your parents, and I hear they’re terrific people. This should not have happened.”<\/p>\n

Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted in 2022 of conspiring to defraud banks out of more than $30 million in loans and tax evasion. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison and Julie to seven, though both had their sentences later reduced. Their daughter Savannah had been vocal in challenging the justice system’s handling of their case and even launched a podcast titled Unlocked<\/em> to bring attention to what she viewed as a miscarriage of justice.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to her Instagram after the call, Savannah was overcome with emotion. “So, both of my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I still don’t believe it’s real!” she said, adding, “I will be forever grateful to President Trump.”<\/p>\n

She continued, “Thank God for a president like Donald J. Trump. Thank you, God, for a president who wants to restore families and loves people.”<\/p>\n
